Effective Monday, July 7, 2025, the Annual Parent Authorizations page will be changed to View Only for school and district staff. This page has historically been used to enter information for students related to the Universal Form in the Facts for Parents booklet. However, this information should be entered using the Forms area of PowerSchool instead.
The 2025-26 Universal Form has not yet been published in PowerSchool. However, the IT Division will be working with district staff to launch the new form in the coming weeks, once the new Facts for Parents booklet has been published on the district website at https://www.sandiegounified.org/parent_resources/facts_for_parents. A separate announcement will be sent once the new forms have been published.
Please also note that the Annual Parent Authorizations page has not yet been updated to reflect any upcoming changes to the 2025-26 Universal Form. Once the updated Universal Form is available, any changes will be applied to the Annual Parent Authorizations page - however it will still remain view only for school and district staff. Part of the reasoning behind making the Annual Parent Authorizations page view only is to ensure that parents are providing information based on the most recently published Universal Form and not a prior year version.
