The No-Show Drop process for the 2025–26 school year is scheduled to run on Friday, August 22, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM.

During this process, IT will drop students who meet the following criteria:

  • Marked with an attendance code of (A) Unverified Absence in all scheduled periods from August 11 through August 22.

  • Have no class schedule since the first day of school.

Students identified in PowerSchool as Homeless, Foster, Military, or enrolled in Special Education programs are excluded and will not be dropped.

To help identify students who may be affected, we recommend reviewing the following reports:

  • Attendance Counts (A, I, T, U, W, Z) - This report lists individual and total counts for a date range for the listed attendance codes. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the group of Attendance reports.

  • Attendance Code Counts - This report generates a CSV file listing students and their attendance code totals. To run this report, select System Reports, then select the SDUSD tab.

  • Students With No Class Assignments - This report lists students with active school enrollment but no class assignments. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the group of Scheduling reports.

This process does not apply to the following schools: East Village Middle College High School, Garfield High, Home and Hospital, iHigh Virtual Academy, Mt. Everest Academy, Non-Public Schools, Pre-Schools, Riley/New Dawn, San Diego Metro Career & Tech, TRACE, Twain High, Whittier.
