New Reports/Features

  • Missing or Invalid Demographic Data: This report displays active students with missing, incomplete, or invalid student data, including outdated address validations on the student demographics page. Please use this report to identify and update any incomplete or invalid student data to ensure accuracy and compliance. To run the report, select sqlReports from the Start Page left-side menu, then expand the Enrollment group to find this report.

  • Scheduling Conflicts - Elementary: This report identifies course sections that are scheduled into incompatible periods, as well as mismatches between a student's enrolled course sections and their grade level. Please use this report to identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts before the start of the school year. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the Scheduling group to find this report.

  • Student Profile Contacts: An update to the Student Profile Contacts now displays emails and primary language for all contacts listed.

Other Changes

  • Annual Authorizations Page – The annual authorization pages was updated to read only. Please refer to the Annual Parent Authorizations Page View Only announcement from July 3, 2025 for additional information.

  • New/updated Handbooks: To find the following handbooks and other PowerSchool Resources, click the Handbooks, Job Aids and Videos link at the bottom of the Start Page under SDUSD Power School Resources:

Reminders

  • Parent Portal Training: To support Year 2 of our districtwide Parent Portal rollout, we will be offering Training Labs twice a month throughout the school year. These sessions are designed to support school sites in helping families get set up in the system ahead of our full transition to digital processes.

  • PowerSchool Training: New training opportunities are ongoing and posted on a monthly basis. Please check out this month's training calendar. Please register in Professional Learning for upcoming PowerSchool Training and Open Labs.
